BioI'm a Canadian twenty-three year old graduate from the University of Toronto with a major in English, and minors in History and Anthropology. I have a cockatiel who I love dearly, a younger brother who I get along with most of the time and a number of great friends, many of them from NE.
I watch a great deal of TV and stay try to stay informed about things like sweeps month, new pilots, stunt casting and ratings. I also maintain a TV blog, titled Girl With Remote, on wordpress.
As an English major I did a lot of reading, some of it was even stuff I liked! I have a love of fantasy and historical fiction/fantasy but also a growing appreciation for detective fiction and biographies. I have found that I have a passion for history, particularly figures in British and Irish history in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
I have loved Les Miserables (book and musical) since I was young and was recently lucky enough to visit France. I am also one of the few William Pitt the Younger fangirls out there. I believe that he is greatly under appreciated. I also love William Wilberforce, and my favourite movie is Amazing Grace.
In the weird quirks department I collect odd socks and I have a thing for accents (British, Welsh, Scottish, Irish, Northern Irish, Australian, Kiwi, and South African in particular).
